For this purpose, a light-flooded orangery in a light timber construction is placed on top of the existing parking garage and an open pergola overgrown with plants is introduced to create a holistic impression. The pergola transforms the character of the existing multi-storey parking lot, creates a direct design link to Stolzenfels Castle and anchors the new orangery in its context.

The building presents itself as an open, inviting house that picks up on current sustainability issues and makes use of them.
The architectural expression of the building is characterized by the striking terracing. The new building is being constructed as a contemporary, sustainable timber construction and is based on the structure of historic orangeries, thus creating a link to the castle.

The plants used on the pergola and the greenery on the façade of the skylight reinforce the ensemble character between Stolzenfels Castle, St. Menas Church and the New Orangery.
