The goal is to construct a new church administration building for the Episcopal Youth Welfare Office in Wernau.
The guiding idea is the tension between a powerful new building with its adjoining open spaces and the existing surroundings, which form a new centre with a strong identification effect.
The aim here is to create an exemplary, light-flooded and open meeting place for staff and volunteers.
The arched shape of the new building has a harmonious and pleasant effect, offers a sheltered outdoor space and creates a flow of space.
The new building honours the existing linden tree as a valuable existing tree, places it in the centre as a striking tree and encloses it protectively.
The curved shape, which presents itself as an inviting and protective gesture, shows the Episcopal Youth Welfare Office as a place of encounter and as an open community of faith on site.
