Our concept focuses on community life, interaction and communication. The renovation strategy for the Lätarekirche and the new construction of the Christophorus Centre are based on an attitude of respect for the existing structure and restraint towards the new. The guiding philosophy is to make the ensemble sustainable with as little intervention as possible, to preserve the church square as the spatial centre of the community and to create a lively sense of togetherness.

The architectural expression of the building is characterised by a strong yet differentiated volume: flat brick façades contrast excitingly with the window openings and the lively balcony areas in front. The existing colour scheme and striking materiality of the reddish brick façades are taken up and continued.
The calm, friendly façades and the special qualities of the architecture result from the attention to detail in the handling of the building volume, creating a distinctive location.
