2023, 2nd Prize The boarding school at Weierhof in Bolanden is planning a new residential accommodation for the year 2027. Special attention should be paid to the historical building. For this reason, the building by Steimle Architekten fits in with the existing Weierhof as a simple partner. The setting orders a workshop yard with parking spaces in the basement and connects the new building with the existing building via new children's courtyard on the first floor of the existing building.

The jury discribtion is the following:

"The work convinces by its self-evidence. The elongated building block is presented to the boarding school building on its southern the boarding school building on its southern side in such a way that neither the distinctive gable ends nor the are hidden by new building cubatures. The impression of the main building is holistically preserved from the public access road. The building form of the elongated gable roof house is a quotation from the existing buildings, which was considered up to the northern school building. The Drafters continue the existing building grain. It is not seen in the Black Plan not a foreign body, but a logical and barely recognizable linear addition proposed."
