The new building is based on the structure of the historic town hall. It takes up the theme of the massive plinth on which a contemporary wooden building is erected.
The colour scheme with the grey plinth and the earthy red tones also strengthens the ensemble character. The layout of the new building is oriented towards the historic market square, which will be restored in its form. The former 4 locations of the administration are now combined under one roof with 4 gables. The building next to Badtorstrasse 2 houses the new community centre with archives and club room for external rental.
