In Würzburg, the district administration office is getting a new building. The district office of the future is designed to facilitate a friendly, innovative and dynamic working environment with natural, architectural and ecological goals. The building presents itself as warm, inviting and sustainable. The architectural expression is characterised by a powerful, robust volume. Light-coloured, partly indented concrete elements structure the building and carry its inner structure to the outside. The cosy warmth of wood shines from the interior. The reduction of the vertical load-bearing elements to an absolute minimum results in an efficient load-bearing structure and an autonomously playable interior. This can react to changing usage requirements in an unlimited and freely differentiable way. These components characterise the new building in Würzburg and make it a forward-looking, modern public authority.
